Please note, the festival takes place in a field on the grounds of James Madison’s Montpelier. You will find a new ATM machine on site located inside the Visitor Center. Wear comfortable shoes and feel free to bring a blanket or chairs to picnic and listen to our live music. No outside alcohol permitted. No pets permitted.
Your $2 cash parking donation will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Sample wines from Virginia wineries at the 27th annual Montpelier Wine Festival on the grounds of James Madison’s Montpelier, located along Route 20, just south of the town of Orange. Spend the day tasting wine and enjoying distinctive arts and crafts, specialty food vendors, live music, kite flying, a contest for the most exceptional hats, and horse drawn wagon rides! New this year you will find Corn Hole games. Mansion tours begin at the Visitors Center.
The Montpelier Wine Festival is a great place to bring the whole family. Children will enjoy kite making classes, kite flying contests and barrel train rides. Adult admission tickets are twenty-five dollars at the gate and designated driver tickets are just five dollars at the gate. Bring a blanket and a picnic – bring your kite – and bring your love of Virginia wine to the Montpelier Wine Festival, Saturday and Sunday, May 6 & 7.
